The School Resource Officer (SRO) Program is based on a contractual agreement between the City of Glenpool and the Glenpool School District. The program has been in place since 2003 and has been a huge success for both partners.
The SRO is a full-time police officer assigned to the school who assists in any law enforcement-related matter involving students, staff or visitors, serves as an advisor in police-related issues for administrators and staff, evaluates safety concerns within the district, and helps protect and interact with more than twenty-three hundred students on a daily basis.
